Resurfacing Rear Rotors Vw
Resurfacing my brake rotor help?
Hi,
So I am about to get my brake rotor resurfaced. (Rear brakes off a 95 vw golf) Should I take the bearing out before I get it resurfaced? Or its fine to leave it in there?
Hopefully that made sense.
thanks,
John
Sweet thanks. I only need one rotor replaced because my parking brake stuck and started to ruin one my right rear rotor. I measured the rotor and it is okay to resurface. I will ask the shop to see if they will repack my bearings- I really don’t want to deal with that.
Not sure what the Golf uses.
If cone bearings, the race can stay. If sealed bearings, they will need to come out.
Ask the shop that will be doing the work. They can tell you what they want.
